Applications/Customer churn modelling
Customer churn modelling on Microsoft Fabric

Understand churn risk and plan a useful follow-up.

Develop a customer churn application on Microsoft Fabric that connects an agreed prediction model with account context and review. Help teams prioritise investigation using evidence they can inspect.

YOUR DATA. YOUR WORKFLOW.

From inputs to a useful next step.

  1. 01

    Define churn

Agree the event, target population and lead time that make the model useful.

  2. 02

    Evaluate the signals

Compare predictive performance with a baseline and review the limits of the available data.

  3. 03

    Plan the response

Present account context and let responsible teams decide the appropriate follow-up.

An example scope to discuss, configured or built around your process.

THE BUSINESS PROBLEM

Make customer churn modelling part of a connected process.

A risk score without context gives an account team little to act on. Churn modelling should start with a clear definition, a relevant time horizon and an agreed response process.

START WITH

The information behind the work.

  • Customer tenure and historical outcomes
  • Usage, orders or service interactions
  • A defined churn event and prediction horizon

Use agreed API connections, Excel imports or on-screen inputs. Access, mapping and refresh requirements are confirmed during scoping.

WORK TOWARDS

Outputs your team can use.

  • Risk indicators with account context
  • Model evaluation and limitations
  • An accountable follow-up process

We agree roles, ownership, review steps and required reporting before preparing the application.

Custom machine learning

See a demand forecast, its benchmark and the uncertainty behind the model.

The demand forecast uses a custom gradient-boosted machine learning model, tested against a seasonal benchmark. Thirteen historical weeks were held back from training to assess performance on unseen data. At company level, weighted weekly forecast error was three point two nine per cent, compared with three point six three per cent for the benchmark. Detailed product and site forecasts have greater uncertainty, so the level of the comparison matters. The future view extends the planning horizon by twelve weeks. This gives the team a tested basis for planning, with uncertainty visible alongside the forecast. We define the decision, test the model and agree how its output will be used in the business.

START WITH YOUR PROCESS

Tell us what you want to achieve.

Share your requirements. No card or commitment.

Describe the result you need and the information you work with. We can help you identify a suitable existing application or scope a tailored pilot.

  1. Share the problem and your data sources.
  2. Discuss the workflow and a practical starting point.
  3. Agree the scope, costs and trial route.
No card is needed to make an enquiry.

A card is required when you start a trial. An enquiry does not start a subscription or commit you to a project.

EVALUATE THE RIGHT FIT

Try the application before committing to the next step.

Both assisted routes include a 30 day free trial, starting after onboarding and environment setup. Card required at signup. No charge until your 30 day trial ends.

Existing app that fits

Start without an implementation fee.

If an existing application meets your requirements without additional mapping or implementation, implementation and the 30 day trial are free. Normal subscription charges begin after the trial, under your agreed terms.

Mapping or custom work needed

Agree the full quote before the pilot.

We agree the application, mapping, workflows and implementation quote upfront. We then prepare the agreed pilot for your 30 day free trial. If you choose to proceed afterwards, the quoted implementation fee and monthly subscription become payable.

We confirm the pilot deliverables, preparation, trial start and decision process together. Any work beyond the agreed pilot scope is discussed separately.

BEFORE YOU START

A few practical answers.

Define the business need and the pilot before committing to implementation.

Will the model explain why a customer will leave?+

A model can identify predictive signals, but those signals do not establish a customer's intentions or prove causation. We agree how to present explanations and keep the final account decision with your team.

Is this application ready to use immediately?+

We first confirm whether an existing application fits. Your fields, source mapping, roles or workflow may require configuration or custom work. The agreed assisted trial begins after onboarding and environment setup.

How much will the application cost?+

We confirm the subscription, any implementation work and the pilot scope before you start. An existing app that fits has free implementation. Where mapping or custom work is needed, the implementation quote is agreed upfront and becomes payable with the monthly subscription if you choose to proceed after the trial.

Can we start with spreadsheet reporting instead?+

Yes. The standard platform provides spreadsheet uploads, reporting, AI analysis, visual creation and DataApps after signup. That is a separate starting point from a prepared application.
